The K+K stands for Marlene and Markus Kirnbauer, the couple at the heart of this Burgenland estate where family tradition meets vision. Markus is the winemaker — analyst, visionary, custodian of every cycle from vine to cellar. Marlene designs the spaces where wine is met, with an eye for material, atmosphere and encounter. They aren't always of the same mind, but always on equal footing.
Blaufränkisch is at the heart of what they do — not as a product but as a position. Independent, precise, authentic. The most demanding work in the cellar is the art of the cuvée: every grape variety and every vineyard vinified separately, then blended fresh each year. There is no recipe — each vintage finds its own balance, where the winemaker's intuition catches the moment of harmony.
