Rainer Christ is a top organic wine maker based in Stammersdorf in the North, unlike most other Viennese winemakers, who are located around the Western or South-Western edges of Vienna where he makes this Riesling Austrian white wine.
Christ macerates the hand selected grapes on their skins for 4-6 hours, before fermentation in stainless steel and maturing on their fine lees for 6 months. Typical citrus fruit, tangerine, elegant, fine and textured – a Viennese Riesling at its best! -

Weingut Christ sits at the northeastern edge of the city, in the historic village heart of Großjedlersdorf on the slopes of the Bisamberg, with the Danube running below.
